How much does it cost to enter?

What are the key dates?

Can I enter in consecutive years?

Previous entrants who did not receive a Melbourne Award are eligible to re-enter the awards. Past winners may not enter for a period of two years after receiving a Melbourne Award.

Can I enter more than one category?

You may not enter the same contribution/project in more than one category. You must choose the category that is most relevant to the nature of your entry. For a detailed summary of each category please visit Award categories.

Can I nominate myself or my organisation for an award?

Yes, entrants can self-nominate.

What do I need to write about in my submission?

The Selection Criteria and Submission Requirements outline the questions you must answer to complete your Melbourne Awards submission.

Who are the judges that will be judging my entry?

The judges are an independent panel of Melbourne-based business professionals who are highly experienced and respected in their fields and represent a variety of industry sectors.

Who attends the meeting with the judges?

Representatives from the organisation or the individual nominated (and person who nominated them if applicable) must attend the meeting with the judges.

How will l know if I'm selected as a finalist?

All entrants — both finalists and non-finalists — will be contacted via email on 13 October 2015.

What is the next step if l am selected as a finalist?

Finalists will be contacted via email on 13 October 2015 and advised of next steps. All Finalists will be required to attend a session at Melbourne Town Hall to have their photograph taken and participate in the filming of a video package which will be played at the Gala Awards Ceremony and used for marketing and promotional purposes.

How many of my staff can l bring to the Gala Awards Ceremony?

All Finalists receive two complimentary tickets to the Gala Awards Ceremony. You are very much encouraged to bring your staff, family and friends with you to the event. A booking form will be sent to all Finalists who wish to purchase additional tickets.
